    What a proper setup includes

Whoever does it, a working setup for a UK service business should cover:

    • A UK phone number, with the UK regulatory checks done so texts get delivered
    • Your domain and email set up so emails don't land in spam
    • Every enquiry route (calls, website forms, email, Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp) feeding one inbox
    • Missed call text back
    • A pipeline with your real stages, from new enquiry to paid
    • Follow-up for new enquiries and unanswered quotes
    • Booking and reminders, if you take appointments
    • Review requests after every job
    • Your existing contacts imported
    • UK settings: time zone, date format, currency
    • Training for whoever will use it

Ready-made templates (called snapshots) are a good start, but they don't include your phone number, the UK checks or your connected accounts. Someone still has to do that part.

What makes a setup cost more

    • More than one pipeline or service
    • A new website, or moving an old one across
    • Moving contacts and history from another system
    • Connecting other software, like Xero, Tradify or ServiceM8
    • Anything custom

    The costs after setup

Setup is only part of it. You'll also pay the monthly price, texts and calls as you use them, and someone's time to keep it up to date as your business changes. See what GoHighLevel costs in the UK.

When doing it yourself makes sense

    • You're technical and enjoy building things
    • You have time to learn it properly
    • You only need one or two features to start, like missed call text back

If not, paying for setup is usually cheaper than paying for software you never get working.

Questions to ask before you pay anyone

    • What exactly will be set up, and what won't?
    • Will it be built around my business, or is it a template?
    • Who sorts out the UK phone number checks?
    • What training is included?
    • What support do I get afterwards, and what does it cost?
    • If I leave, can I keep my account, contacts and automations?

    Common questions

How much does GoHighLevel setup cost in the UK?
From nothing if you do it yourself, or included in the monthly price with some UK providers, up to about £2,000 to £3,500 + VAT or more for a full agency build.

Does HighLevel set it up for you?
HighLevel sells a standard setup for $299 (about £226), sometimes free when you sign up. It's a template setup rather than one built around your business.

    How long does setup take?
A basic setup can be done in a few days. A full build, with a website and moving your data across, usually takes two to four weeks. On our Managed plan it's live within 30 days.

Can I set up GoHighLevel myself?
Yes. Plenty of people do. Expect a learning curve, and allow time to get the UK phone number and email sending working properly.

Do I pay for setup if I move from another provider?
With us, no. If you're already on GoHighLevel, there's no build fee. We just move you across.
